"The analysis supports theory claiming that calls to increase the number of students receiving STEM degrees could be answered, at least in part, by abandoning traditional lecturing in favor of active learning." -PNAS Freeman Report

 My IBL Story

In Summer 2009, I attended the ACS IBL Workshop in Austin, Texas that forever changed the way I teach my courses. Since that time I have enjoyed getting to know many members of the IBL community and staying engaged with the community by helping to organize conferences, serving on boards, and helping to spread IBL to others.

Central Texas Regional IBL Community

In Fall 2018, the Central Texas Regional IBL Community will begin meeting in the Georgetown/Austin area. If you live within a 2 hour drive of this area, you might be interested in joining our community. Feel free to contact me and I'll add you to the community email list. More information on our upcoming events and activities will be posted here when planned.
